Toshihiro IHARA − Editorial Board Member

Toshihiro IHARA, Associate Professor of Department of Applied Chemistry and Biochemistry,
Graduate School of Science and Technology, Kumamoto University, was born in 1964 in
Miyazaki. After receiving his Bachelor (1988), Master (1990), and Doctor (1993) degrees from
Kyushu University, he worked as a Research Associate at the Department of Chemical Science
and Technology, Kyushu University (1993-1996). In 1996, he joined the Kumamoto University
as a Lecturer and has been an Associate Professor since 2002. His research interests focus on
genome chemistries, especially on the details of their molecular recognition and application in
analytical sciences. Beside his research, he enjoys 3M, movies, Mac, and the martial arts, such
as Karate and Shorinji Kempo.
