Kojiro SHIMOJO − Editorial Board Member

Kojiro SHIMOJO, Associate Principal Researcher at Advanced Science Research Center, Japan Atomic Energy Agency (JAEA), was born in 1976 on Iki island, Nagasaki Prefecture. He received his Bachelor (1999), Master (2001), and Doctor (2005) of Engineering degrees from Kyushu University. He served as a Researcher (2001-2002) at Sanyo Chemical Industries Ltd., a Post-Doctoral Fellow (2005-2008) and Scientist (2008-2011) at JAEA. He was promoted to his present position in 2011. He received the Society of Chemical Engineers, Japan (SCEJ) Award for Outstanding Young Researcher and the Japan Society for Analytical Chemistry Award for Young Researchers in 2010. His current research interests focus on separation chemistry, molecular recognition, ionic liquids, and biofunctional chemistry.
